Deleting your account

How to close your account, what is removed, and what we have to keep.

Deleting your account

Before you start

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone by support. Two things are worth doing first:

  • Export anything you want to keep. It is gone afterwards.
  • Hand over any team you own. If you are the only owner of a team, transfer ownership to someone else — otherwise the team goes with you.

If you have an active subscription, cancel it or let it lapse first so the final invoice is not a surprise.

Closing the account

  1. Go to Settings → Account.
  2. Choose Delete account.
  3. Confirm — you will be asked to re-authenticate, because a request this destructive should not be possible from an unattended browser.

You are signed out immediately and can no longer sign in with that address.

What is removed, and what is not

Removed: your profile, your sign-in credentials including passkeys and two-factor enrolment, your sessions, and the content stored against your personal account.

Kept, and only for as long as the reason lasts:

  • Invoices and payment records, which tax and commercial law require us to retain.
  • Security and abuse logs, for as long as they are needed to protect the service.
  • Content belonging to a team, which stays with the team rather than with you.

If you cannot sign in

Email us from the address on the account and we will handle the deletion for you. See the Delete your data page linked in the site footer.
